About Us

Navigating the challenges of life as a teen or young adult can be overwhelming, especially when anxiety takes hold. At our counseling center, we are dedicated to helping you understand and manage your feelings, improve your relationships, and build a healthier, happier life.

We know a lot about how our minds and emotions work, how to succeed in relationships, and how to manage stress and anxiety. However, we also understand that knowing these things doesn't always make it easy to be healthy.

Every day, we work with teens and young adults who are trying their best to answer questions like, “Why am I feeling this way?” or “How can I improve my relationships?” It's common to feel anxious or overwhelmed, but you don't have to face these feelings alone.

Problems often have many layers. We create a safe and supportive space for you to connect with and experience your feelings. Together, we can begin to understand those layers and develop skills and habits that will guide you toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

At our counseling center, your well-being is our priority.

Let us help you navigate the journey toward mental and emotional health.

My Background

  • What Should We Expect From Therapy?
Each therapist is a little different. We take a collaborative, active, and conversational approach. We emphasize the importance of a strong relationship, and we will regularly check in with you to make sure you are getting what you are looking for. We are trained in a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, EMDR and will lean into our experience with these techniques to figure out what works best for you. Clients can be reassured that they are receiving the expertise and professionalism of a licensed therapists and a licensed social workers. The initial therapeutic coaching session is $340. Subsequent sessions are $250. Clients in the US and Canada have a credit card on file that is billed at the time of each session. International clients may use alternative methods of payment including PayPal.
  • What Happens In The First Session?
Before our first session, you’ll receive a welcome email confirming the day and time of your appointment. The email will also include a link to our client portal where you can complete the paperwork online. The paperwork consists of a contract and informed consent for the therapy, along with a questionnaire inviting your teen or young adult to share what’s going on in their life that has caused them to reach out, and some of their hopes and goals for the process. Please complete the paperwork at least 48 hours prior to your session to give us a chance to review your information. You will also receive a secure video link for our online session or directions on how to find our offices if we are meeting face to face. In the first appointment, we will review the intake paperwork, discuss confidentiality, and go over scheduling and payment. Once the housekeeping tasks are taken care of, we will get to the important part: why you are coming in. We will ask lots of questions and listen as you share what brings in you in and what you want to get out of our work together. We will begin to develop our relationship and we will start to develop goals for your future.
  • How Long Will It Take?
There is no way to say beforehand how long the coaching process will take. Each person and each problem is different. In general, the longer you’ve struggled with something, the longer it will take to change the way you think and act in order to overcome it. Success also depends on your own motivation and your willingness to do sometimes difficult work on yourself.
  • Do You Take Insurance?
We are considered Out of Network (OON) providers. Sessions do not qualify for health insurance but may be eligible for healthcare payment plans including FSA, HSA or Healthcare dollar arrangements. Please check with your provider in advance. We will provide you with a monthly SuperBill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursment.
  • What Does It Cost?
    Initial Session - 90 Minutes - $340 Individual Sessions - 55 Minutes - $250
  • Cancellation / No-Show
We require session cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance. If less than 24-hours notice is given and because the appointment time is reserved for you, it is necessary to charge unless we agree that an emergency has occurred. When you make an appointment, you are getting exclusive access to our time and expertise that no one else will have for that period. Of course, we understand that sometimes things come up and you cannot make it, so our cancellation policy is designed to provide you some flexibility while also protecting our time. If you cancel an appointment 24 hours in advance, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled time, you will be responsible for the fee for that session.
  • Confidentiality
Confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of the relationship between a client and a therapist. For therapy to be effective, it is essential to establish a high level of trust, especially when dealing with sensitive topics. As licensed therapists, we are well-versed in both State and Federal laws regarding confidentiality. Additionally, we are members of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and the American Counseling Association (ACA), and we strictly adhere to their codes of ethics in our practice. Your information will not be disclosed without your permission unless there is a risk of harm to yourself, harm to others, or if there is information about a child or vulnerable adult being harmed.
